| Ace, I'm feeling you man. Try not being able to go to ANY scenarios that aren't same day driveable becuase you three kids at home under the age of 6!!!! That's why Command Decisions is my only real opportunity to do any 24-hour scenarios. So that means abot two per year. I've got a group of guys that I play with there but that's the only field I can manage for now that's not local. At least gas prices have come down. That's my only saving grace at this point. Hang in there man!!! |

| Well, if you have been to pbjunkie and seen the MPP schedule for next year you will notice that Red Fox Games here in G-ville is hosting not 1, but 2 games next year!!!! Yes they are 24 hour games and are 2 day events, but that does not mean that you cannot just hit one day with us Tarheel. This will be a great way for us locals to show off our area and get some of our once in a while playing friends to get off their butts and make these games huge. I hope you can get there and bring lots of others with you. _________________ If a cow poops in the forest and noone is there to smell it.....did it poop? I should be able to put you up. I live fairly close to it--Prob. 15-20 minutes away. |

| Well Lora must be doing well after surgery-- That's great. While on the subject, I heard that Sahara had surgery on his back. I hope you're doing well Sahara--though I figure any back surgery has to be painful. Get well soon you two--Need fewer bodies in the O. R. this year and more on the field. |

| A turkey that acts like a cow... somehow familiar huh? Everyone pm shrub with dates that are good and we will pick the one that suits the most peeps. I will be going down to La. after xmas but any other sat is fine. I cannot be sure that the weather will suffice, and that work will not be begging me to be there, they can bite me, work, not mother nature. You guys & gals are family and family is tops in my book. So get your costumes, bring your paint & supplies, and lets have a hoe-down in my pasture, all are welcome, along with whoever has the low selfesteem to hang out with us losers. lol _________________ If a cow poops in the forest and noone is there to smell it.....did it poop? | Glad to see you are still up and running, so to speak. Why no surgery? Afraid of knives??? lol Surprised noone has mentioned your award yet......Sexiest man alives #1 fan is something to be dang proud of!!! Bet thats why you went to Beantown, special tatoo to commemorate the award your main man got? Won't do those kind down here in the south on a man's private area, a law or something I think. It was a good time even though we did not camp there, they were rocking it out fri. night as usual, just colder than crap. Get yourself healed up and join us this coming year, we will be doing most of the MPP games (I think) since 3 are Bear Claw, 2 are Charleston and 2 new to Red Fox, right in some of our back yards. Get up here with the family, you can bunk with one of us I am sure. _________________ If a cow poops in the forest and noone is there to smell it.....did it poop? | Why no surgery? Let me tell you why. Historically back surgery has a success rate of about 15% where the person doesn't feel pain any more. Most of the time with back surgery about 10 years after you have the first you will need another as the disc above the one that you had removed will then go bad since it has to support the weight of two vertebrae. Then less then 10 years after that another, and so on. The only way anyone should ever have back surgery is if there is no way they can function or remain alive without it. I'm sure the vast majority of human beings would be fired if they had a success rate of 15% BUT spinal surgeons aren't. _________________ |

So basically, if you live long enough & have enough back surgeries, you become a worm..lol Anyway, it's worth noting that all back surgeons are not the same. I once met a guy, up in Ohio, (still have his contact info) who fell from about 15 feet up on to a cement floor & awkwardly at that, though there's not great way to do that anyway. He almost died and then wasn't expected to walk again, though his spine was damaged, not cut. So he has good insurance, but more importantly he happens to go to a doc that's on the cutting edge (no pun intended, though it's as good as my intended ones). Now what his surgeon did isn't considered that big a deal anymore, but at the time it was experimental surgery. The doc put metal rods vertically along his spine. In time, bone grew around the rods, and bam, he's been fine for about 20 years now. His only problem is that he doesn't have the flexibility that everyone else has due to the steel rods in his back. These people still have a clinic that specializes in treating severe injuries, especially sports injuries in Ohio. If I needed back surgery, I'd do my best to go see the best, even if it meant leaving the state for a while. I'm not suggesting that anyone with back problems can just have steel rods put in & all will be OK; every one's situation is different. I'm just saying that there is a big difference from one surgeon to the next. I can give the contact information to anyone that would like to converse with the man I have written of. Email is free. |
